Responsible for coordinating the processes and activities related to health onboard to improve the controls and biological monitoring in occupational and preventive health, as well as compliance with the management system of the fleet.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assure the clinical attendance onboard, identifying medical urgencies and emergencies that require more complex control and indicating medical disembark of the patients if necessary. Start and conduct the process of medical evacuation, along with the OIM and client representative, fulfilling the necessary minimum timing to stabilize the patient for safe transportation.
  • Represent the Medical Department onboard in front of the client and onshore / offshore operation team, attending management meetings and assessing the relevant health and Medical Department issues along with the leadership.
  • Assure the occupational health control onboard, receiving and managing the related documents from MODEC, third party companies and client representatives, in accordance with the legal requirements. Keep the documents organized and properly filed, in their most recent version, and be available for advice and clarifications when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medicine is required
  • Post-graduation in Occupational Health is competitive edge.
  • Progressive and relevant experience in emergency health, intensive care, remote medicine and /or pre-hospital assessment is required.
  • Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is expected.
  • Fluent English is required.
